Claire and I took a road trip to Morgantown, WVA to see West Virginia University. At first, I wasn't sure if a big university would be her cup of tea, but after visiting, I must say I think she would do well there. Very scenic campus with terrific extracurricular activities - not to mention the major she is interested in qualifies for in-state tuition. I didn't get a picture, but one of the neat things the university has is an electric monorail system that carts kids all over campus for free. There are five stations and it runs at all hours. All of the sporting events for students are free as well which is what I think they should be given the cost of college. (Liza and Eliot both have to pay for football, etc.) At the end of the day we met with a darling admissions counselor who we could have talked for hours with. When I asked Claire what she liked best was the 'country' feel of the school. Hmmmm......this is coming from my I love Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, etc. daughter who was thrilled to find every other radio station in Morgantown plays country. Anyways, we had a great day and I know if she chooses this school she will be in good hands.
Trying to keep it simple with a husband, five kids, three dogs, a job, and a jewelry business.
