What a treat it was to have my dear friend Joe and his darling daughter Zora join me for lunch yesterday at the Council Office Building. Joe and I go back many years...he came to work with us as a young pup of 23 and it has been a joy being his friend. He and his darling wife Brenda have Zora and her brother Gus, and of course their infamous dog Dewey. It was so fun spending time talking with Zora - you forget how funny kids are and the questions...well they were non-stop. She is a bright spirit, a beautiful little girl...and Joe, the dad I always imagined he would be.
