For everyone here today - First day of high school for Erik and Claudia, the last first day of high school for Claire, and the first day for me to have everyone at the same grade level and out of the house before 7AM. It's always a bittersweet time of the year for me. I love the easy pace of summer, but by the time the end of August rolls around I am ready for a reason to get back into a good routine. I look at these pictures today and see something about my kids that makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy to see that they are good with themselves and ready for new challenges, but sad to know they don't need me as much to face those things. I know it's the way it's supposed to be, but I kind of think they will be happy when they get off the bus today and most other days to be in the safe haven of their home.
Trying to keep it simple with a husband, five kids, three dogs, a job, and a jewelry business.
