Charleston

We hit the road before dawn today to make our way to Charleston, S.C. to see Eliot and spend a couple of days in Myrtle Beach. Little did we know, everyone else seemed to have the same idea as us. 95 was bumper to bumper most of the way and once we were about 2 hours outside Charleston, we hit severe weather. I am sure we drove through a tornado...leaves were swirling above us, it was hailing and the sky was green. After we passed through that area, we did hear there was a tornado spotted there. Needless to say, it was a little frightening. We made it after 12 hours on the road - and literally caught up with Eliot on the highway as he was returning from a golf game. We had dinner at Sticky Fingers and walked around downtown. The girls and I found a massive Forever 21 and walked along King Street where there were plenty of swanky shops. I know I'll sleep well tonight.
