It was a road trip to Bay Shore for my sister, aunt, cousin and I this past weekend. My darling cousin Jamie is set to be married in May, so we all headed north for a shower for her thrown by her sister. Jamie is very special to me - she was the flower girl in my wedding 25 years ago and she has grown into a lovely young woman. It was so nice to spend time with some family members who I rarely get to see. We spent the weekend laughing and telling stories - I even learned my great grandfather played a role in the canonization of John Baptiste de La Salle...dad says he swears he told me the story when I was younger, but I guess it didn't stick. I have to credit my sister for the pictures...of course, my battery died as I began to snap shots of my own.
