This weekend marks the 25th anniversary of my engagement to my wonderful husband. So for Christmas as a surprise, he took me back to the place where he proposed - The Stockton Inn in Stockton, N.J. We had a delicious dinner and were able to stay the night at the inn. Just over the river is New Hope,PA., a town we spent many a weekend in back in the early days of our marriage when we lived in Princeton, N.J. New Hope has an eclectic charm to it...the shops are both high end and down right junky in nature. The food is great, the scenery beautiful as New Hope is right along the Delaware River. As you can see from the picture, it was a frigid day, but still wonderful to step back in time to January 1986.
