It has been forever since I have posted as my mother reminded me so I have put my procrastination aside to post on Erik's basketball championship. He plays for a great league, Basketball Coaches Without Boundaries, in the fall and summer. He made the decision a couple of years ago that football was not for him, and his mother happily agreed. So, for the past few months, he has practiced and played hard for this team, The Average Joes. They are not however, average. The team is composed of boys aged 11-13 and they won all but one of their games this season and took home the championship this weekend. The games were a lot of fun to watch; these are some great little ball players and nice boys to top it off. So, after playing for so many losing teams, it was a treat to have a successful season that ended with a trophy.
