Is a long time for anyone to be married. This weekend, the four of us kids and assorted spouses and children threw a party in honor of my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely lovely - a wonderful turnout with plenty of good food. I had to laugh - one of my brother's best friends was there and I didn't even recognize him. In fact, I introduced myself as Bill's sister Sue and he said - "I know, it's Barney." There were plenty of friends, old and new, and in all it was a fantastic tribute. Sometimes we joke that mom deserves a medal for putting up with dad and all of his stories and assorted special friends. But in all honestly anyone who can stay married to the same person for 50 years is golden.
Trying to keep it simple with a husband, five kids, three dogs, a job, and a jewelry business.
